Purpose

The dialog is used to select the type, ratings and materials of flange components. The tab Component is used to select regular flanges for all line sizes. The tab Alternative is for alternative flanges besides the regular ones. There is no drawing of the flanges and the dimensions can not be edited.

Description

  • 'Project number', to identify the project or plant by number. The number is shown in various reports.
  • 'Pipe Class', the name or number to identify the pipe class. The number is shown in various reports.

Tab sheet Component shows a list of regular flanges per line size.

The following data fields are available:

  • 'Table', a list of selectable flanges showing the main properties. Each row represents one flange. Select one or more rows and use the other fields to set the properties.
  • 'Standard', the used standard for one or more flanges.
  • 'Subtype', the subtype used for one or more flanges.
  • 'Rating', the rating (class) to classify the strength of one or more flanges.
  • 'Material Standard', the material standard used for one or more flanges. Use the buttons to change or remove a material standard. For further information see PCC material selection window.
  • 'Dimension Standard', the dimension standard used for one or more flanges. Here, this standard is read-only and can not be changed, because it is the used flange standard. For further information see PCC dimension selection window.
  • 'Schedule/Rating', the rating (class) to classify the strength of one or more flanges. Here, this rating is read-only and can not be changed, because it is the used flange rating.
  • 'Subtype', the subtype used for one flange. Use this field for one or more flanges.
  • 'End type', the end type used for one flange. Use this field for one or more flanges.
  • 'Description', the description used for one flange. Use this field for one or more flanges. It is initially set by the default value from the pipe class settings. For further information see PCC pipe class edit window. This field is only used for reporting.
  • 'Note list', a list of notes for one flange. Use this field for one or more flanges. This field is only used for reporting.
  • 'Commodity code', the commodity code for one flange. Use this field for one or more flanges. This field is only used for reporting.

The buttons at the bottom are:

  • 'Help' button to show this help page.
  • 'OK' button to close the dialog and save the data.
  • 'Cancel' button to close the dialog without saving the data.
