Design standard of test flange for testing tube at stationary tubesheet. Use this standard for study purposes only.
General Notes
- See exchanger drawing for any exceptions to this standard.
- Diameter dimensions, bolt holes and thickness of the test flange to be equal to the girth flange of the channel
- Tapped hole in centerline for eye bolt 1/2" or M12 for units under 30" or NW750 and 5/8" or M16 for units 30" or NW750 and larger
- Thread type for tapped hole to be the same as used for the bolting of the girth flanges
- Test flange material carbon steel commercial quality
- Gasket to be provided for testing
- test flanges only to be used for exchanger with removable bundles and bonnet type channels. Unless specificied on the exchanger drawing
