The EN1594 code requires the user to select a location of the facility near which the gas infrastructure is situated:

  • Underground section, except stations
  • Continuously supported line in tunnel
  • Station
  • Other (not station)

By selecting one of these options, the maximum stress design factor (< 1) will be set for the calculations.

For the EN1594 code, the design factor for the allowable stress can be set manually. Some customers would like to use a lower design factor than the maximum permitted by the calculation code.

For the EN3650 code, the selection can be made to set the use of the stress Rm.

For the ASME B31.4 code the user can define:

  • Location
  • Test Medium

These settings will set the applicable factors to be used in the ASME B31.4 calculations.

For the ASME B31.8 code the user can define:

  • Location Class
  • Facility
  • Test Medium

These settings will set the applicable factors to be used in the ASME B31.8 calculations.
